Hello from Raleigh! :)

#1 Postby Skywatch_NC » Tue Apr 06, 2004 2:53 pm

FINALLY online again since Sunday afternoon/evening from my new apartment in N. Raleigh!

Still have a ways to go on getting the place looking more livable with my folks but surely and slowly will get there!!

Have some items up at the house in Roa Rpds, too, that needs to still be cleared out, packed up, have a yard sale or donated to a rescue mission thrift store or taken to the dump B4 we have the house closing on May 14th!

Sure is an exhausting (bordering on insanity at times) situation! LOL

More later as the weeks unfold...

My eyes do feel ALOT better after having my last dose of drops yesterday morning...praying and hoping for no big relapse...as the pine pollen time of year is upon us in North Carolina and of course Spring in general brings about it's share of allergy "fun"!

More updates later as the weeks unfold...

Eric :)

Hi Eric! I'm behind times and wasn't aware of your move. How do you like your new place and what are the circumstances that brought you to Raleigh? We've moved again too, Southern Cal this time. Just getting situated here. Good luck with everything Eric, and God Bless you.

Hi Shannon! :D GREAT talking to you, Sis! :)

My father took an early retirement package from International Paper (I.P.) in Roanoke Rapids in May 2001 and started work in the state water quality division out of Raleigh in January 2002...he covers 16 counties throughout central and eastern NC with inspecting businesses, fish kills, etc., as part of his duties. We put our house finally on the market in late February of this year and have had two offers...one from a Poco band drummer named Donnie Harris and another from a mother of a Wilkie Real Estate agent...the "drummer boy" wasn't able to come through with the "earnest" money but the realtor's mother was so she and her husband will be buying our house and the closing is May 14th. ;)

We hope to get settled into a brand new townhouse in the Wakefield Plantation area of Raleigh by late June/early July. :)

Thank you very much for the email notice of you and your family getting settled in California! :) I'm really excited for you, Brian and the kids!! :D
Have a few friends who live in southern CA and also a great aunt who lives in Santa Rosa (higher up the state). ;)

Well, congratulations to you and your parents Eric...sounds like a nice job for your father! Are you working there? Our house is FOR SALE also, though we have had no offers as of yet...praying the right buyer will find it soon! Have you settled into a new church there? I'm happy for you...a new adventure. God Bless.

Congrats to you and your family, too, Shannon! :) I had been employed at an Easter Seals/United Cerebral Palsy of NC copy center called Copymatic Document Solutions of Roanoke Rapids since June 2000...received a very nice framed homemade 4 yr. service certificate and a Billy Graham devotional book and homemade card from my manager Glenn, supervisor Lela and co-workers Archie, Andy and Randy and also was treated to lunch at a place called Java Junction there in Roa Rpds by the manager. :D There's another copy center that now owns the one in R.R. located at Atlantic Ave. and Six Forks Rd. that I hope to start working at over the next few weeks once things get more settled here at the apt. ;) We have already visited a few times a large church called Providence Baptist and they have a congregation of about 3,000 with 3 services each Sunday! :) Hope that your house gets sold soon and I wish you the very best! :) God Bless You...

Eric :)

It's great to hear from you Eric! Moving is always a busy and stressful time. I'm glad that you are all safe and sound there.

Hello Eric...some of that insanity will settle down as rest and a new routine enter your life. I imagine it is very unsettling, but exciting too.

New doors are opening for you and your family, and you have just begun to realize it. How wonderful that life offers us new opportunities each and every day...even when we feel the most vulnerable.

You are a great guy no matter where you call home, and I'm glad to see you back.

Eric - A warm welcome back!!! We missed you! Place didn't seem the same w/o you. I'm sure in time all of you will feel settled again and I do hope your allergies don't flare up. I don't know how many times I wanted to send you an article link or mention something about Cincinnati to you in a PM. Then I'd remember you were moving. LOL But I did manage to save that one about LaRosa's for you.

Glad you're back too Shannon.
