Forcing the media
to go back to reporting news instead of creating and/or serving up their version of it. If 1% of the 35 million Iraquis, or 35,000, are hel* bent on being a problem them why is it we never see anything about the other 99%. I will tell you why, becasue good news does not sell enough soap powder like bad new does. Eventually, a misinformed American receiving a stilted and biased perspective is simply not good; to the extent of being un-American. It is not good for the country and Iwould not oppose some sort of government action to mandate that news organizations show a representative sample of Iraqi public opinion.

Great post 53! I couldnt agree more.
Everyday i turn on one of the local news stations they will blast Bush but give Kerry all the praise in the world. Like this morning i was watching and they mentioned about Kerry comming to Ohio and how he is promising 10 million new Job's and so forth and then mentioned Bush in a negative way as always! Whats worse these idiots here in Ohio dont see its the state government's fault why this state is in Such bad shape but NO you never ever hear that its always blame someone else especially Bush who btw has done a whole heck of alot for this state! Sorry but i blame the yes Republican Governor Taft here and alot of the other fools here running this state or should i say ruining this state!
BTW recent poll's do show that some here are waking up to the Kerry BS because Bush has made leap's and bounds with a come back here in this state! He was well into the double digits behind Kerry a month or so ago and now they are neck in neck!

I think getting into Bush vs Kerry does lend subjectivity that does not exist in the Iraqi situation. By all reasoned accounts, the overwhelming majority are supportive of US efforts or at the least not demonstrably against it yet all we see is deomonstrable opposition. How about a hand shake and a thank you once in a while. No one would allow a once in 3 year avalanche to be shown over and over and over again considering that 999 out of the last 1000 days were avalanche free. It is simply not good for the human, and American, spirit to receive repeated information over and over again that is representitive of such a minority yet presented in a majority capacity.
