Storm 2k solidifies position

Gotta be the second most prolific weather board now, unless TWC is. Good accolade, been a lot starts up and folds over the last three years, I think it shows the emphasis on sticking to the weather and negating the battle royals is a popular option.

By more diverse do you mean on the political front? We have plenty of Democrats here and even a few liberals.

I am a Democrat, but I don't consider my self liberal. I favor the death penalty, how ever I am pro choice, that being said I would oppose a woman from aborting a child I fatherd. So I guess that would make me slightly left of center. I don't like extreme points of view in either direction.Rush is a prime example of that.

I completely agree with you on this point. It seems that some here may perceive WWBB to be slanted left, but in fact it is almost evenly split, and the majority of its posters are Christian as well. The debates that often rage on there, while occassionally getting out of hand and dipping into the territory of stupidity, feature plenty of well thought-out responses from posters on both sides, which is why I prefer their Off-Topic forum to this one. But, as I have mentioned before, the weather forums here are a great place to post, which is why I plan to keep coming back to Storm2k as long as it's around.

I completely agree with you on this point. It seems that some here may perceive WWBB to be slanted left, but in fact it is almost evenly split, and the majority of its posters are Christian as well. The debates that often rage on there, while occassionally getting out of hand and dipping into the territory of stupidity, feature plenty of well thought-out responses from posters on both sides, which is why I prefer their Off-Topic forum to this one. But, as I have mentioned before, the weather forums here are a great place to post, which is why I plan to keep coming back to Storm2k as long as it's around.

Storm2K will be here for a very very long time to come. For one i can now honestly say we DO have the best of the best when it comes to our weather posters be it amatures or pro's for that matter. And alot of that i think has to do with how both boards are run. Wasnt long ago (early-mid winter) wwbb had its share of great weather posters but i as of late i have noticed alot of them have gone by the wayside and IMHO i think alot of it has to do with the uncontrolled enviroment of wwbb. Plus not much can be said for thier odd way of moderating/Banning as it seems all the trouble makers there seem to somehow get thier way which is why i think a few of them as of late has been testing us here at storm2k. Sorry guys but you definetly have come to the wrong place and stir up trouble which i think a few (Not all) have been trying to do here.
BTW IMHO the true art to debating is when one can hold his or her ground with fact's and not lose control and i mean lose control by cussing or name calling which the regulars here at Storm2K imho have wwbb beat by a long ways. And no im not saying that everyone at wwbb does that but there is a few who like to which THANKFULLY a couple of them was here doing the same but got shown the door! BYE BYE!
I am certain thier true color's will show again once wwbb ever gets back up and they start posting on wwbb about how mean and controlling storm2k is but as everyone seen here i think the mod's and admins here did a excellent job and handled the situation great. I applaude them all on a job well done which is another reason besides the other's i listed as to why STORM2K IS SIMPLY THE BEST BOARD ON THE NET from its Weather forums to its Off topic forums to having the Best Admins and Staff and ofcourse the BEST POSTERS NOBODY can compete with Storm2K!

We obviously can see that WWBB without a "family atmosphere" has more members posting on a regular basis.

I prefer the "family atmosphere" we have here, but in order to interact with those that don't want to posts here, I have to take part in the discussions on WWBB.

Again, I don't see why (and I am sure many others here) WWBB members don't think this 'style' is "wrong."

Nope, the simple fact of the matter is that the majority of people on the wwbb are primarily into winter weather. You guys can promote your family atmosphere all you want, but the fact of the matter is...disagreements aside, our board sticks together like no board I've ever been to. We were all just a large group of friends who left TWC a few years back because it became hostile to us...we found wwbb, populated it literally over night...and ever since then have thrived, independent of whichever board we were on.
Check the off topic board...the absolute best forecasters still post their several times a day, including Raleighwx, Louwxman, Wxrisk, HM, Rdale, etc.
We have several tv mets as well, one from as large a market as Philly.

Again...wwbb is largely a winter weather board.

Will, the same thing happened here at Storm2K... many regular TWC members came here in droves on Wednesday, February 5th, 2003. It is very easy to get used to a board once we all met with the same interest at TWC. The Off Topic forum there created a great friendship, which is also the case at WWBB and there are others I am interested in corresponding with there, that don't want to post here.

Storm2K started as a Tropical Weather Board, but has had forums for all types of weather for the last several months.

Ok i see wwbb and Storm2K both do have something in common and that is that it seems alot of us came to these two sites from TWC (All though we as well got alot of people from Gopbi as well who were tired of the crap over there) and like wwbb everyone here has stuck together as well from day one and i for one dont see anyone leaving anytime soon MYSELF included. BTW we do have several TV Mets here as well from large TV markets.
