What was the best/darkest day of your life?
What was the best day of your life? Mine was when I got my job offer a few weeks ago. I was so happy. This will be my 1st job. April 22, 2003 was an awesome day too. That was the day that my favourite sports team advanced to the 2nd round in over 8 years.
What was the worst day of your life? Mine was March 21, 2003 when my Grandma died. She was very sick but it was and still is kind of rough but we know she's in a better place.
So, what about you? And try to think broadly. Let's not just confine this to death.

It's hard to pick just one best so I'll do it this way:
Best days:
1.Nov. 25, 1983..the day I married my beautiful wife.
2. March 25, 1986..the day my daughter was born (wow, they grow up so FAST. She's graduating high school in a few weeks)
3. June 30, 1994...the day my son was born.
Worst day: July 11, 1989...the day my dad died.

Best day is actually a tie. One is definitely May 20, 1972 when Susan and I tied the knot. The other is June 28, 1996 when I knew for sure my wife was going to live after having emergency open heart surgery for a ruptured mitral valve!!!
Tied for next two best is my childrens births in 1979 and 1982.
Darkest day for sure is my Dad's death Jan. 3, 1999. Very close to that as the darkest day is June 27, 1996, the day my wife nearly died from her ruptured valve.

Best: When I found out what was going on in my fathers lungs was not cancer and when I took my first vacation alone in my favorite car to a place I really love.
Worst: It's a tie. Six years ago, my grandfather died of Alzheimer's and about mid-way through the funeral we were notified that my Aunt had just died of cancer. It was the first time in my I had to deal with death and it came in a one-two punch. The other was when my three beloved ultra-sweet cats slowly succumbed in secession to old age. That was just brutal. I'll never own another cat until they breed one that lives for more than the 17-18 years I enjoyed.

Hmmm! Off the top of my head...
Best and Worst days of my life are basically the same.
I would like to do things that the vast majority does. Willing to drive a car, go to college and work (be a meteorologist). Then there are things that others don't find "easy," but I tend to and apparently others see I understand better than most.

Alzheimer's is a scary disease. I hope I'm never faced with a situation such as you were, Winnie.
I understand how it is to lose a beloved pet. Call me strange, but my pets are a bit unusual. I have cows LOL. All were raised on bottles. A couple of yrs ago I lost 2 in one month...one from a lightning strike and the other had to be put down by the vet after she broke her hip. It was a tough pill to swallow.
