I think it should just be a stats forum. The greetings are redundant and I question whether or not the people being greeted even know they were greeted.

Or maybe I'm just bitter because I was never greeted.

You right Winnipesaukee lots of people dont read them.. Some do though, no reason not to do them. If there willing to welcome everyone then more power to them. I know I dont get over there and greet as much as I used to.. And BTW winni you were greeted, they hardly ever miss anyone.. lol Link Below

Chad, at times I feel like all my statistical work is going unviewed. Only about a half dozen members are taking time to view them on a regular to even fairly regular basis (which is great, too), but all this work may not be worth it, even though I enjoy taking the time to go through each and every early morning along with frequent updates to others during the afternoon and evening.

With that said, if I don't post any stats, the Statistics portion of the Greetings & Stats forum wouldn't exist.

You missed it, as apparently others have been: Welcome Winnipesaukee

Exactly right, Winni. There are only a handful of us welcoming members to the site and if they are getting their welcome message then they should be acknowledging it, then the redundancy wouldn't be half as bad.

I find it ironic Tom that you would ask this seeing how you were just voted member of the month for all the hard work you have put into that forum.

Either way i say it stays! :D

Wow...I looked over all the forums shortly after I registered and somehow managed to completely miss it. They always told me I should get glasses.

Very true, Harry, however, it took awhile to get the Member of the Month honor. No offense (or maybe some may be, unfortunately), but the "core members" here actually nominated me, and then the majority of those who voted for me after all these months.

hehehe.. There are so many of them in there its easy to over look the one your looking for.. lol

Tom the stats you do are FANTASTIC. Dont know what we can do to get more people to view them. I know you put ALOT of work into it, and if you want to cut back and or Stop, then please do.. We will still put some server stats etc in there.. No worries

I appreciate it greatly Chad. :) As I mentioned, I enjoy doing them, they can be time consuming at times and I want to be ready at midnight and 1:00 am Eastern to get them at least recorded in my Notepad, (which can be a pain), then calculated several minutes after each hour. The longest stat to do is the "Number of posts made daily (since Nov. 1) [UPDATED DAILY]".

Why not do one big monthly stats round up and then have a mod sticky it in the off-topic forum for a couple days. Then just move it into the stats forum ???

The statistics I have been doing since the fall have been fine, just not sure if those viewing are really that interested.

.....and then there is the reminder and the non interest in:

I am very interested in the stats and check them on a daily (or every other day) basis. Being that I have the same condition as Tom has; I share a lot of the same likes and dislikes as he does. Therefore, numbers and statistics are another prime interest of mine as well. :) In fact I have a stats project that I am working on at a couple of different sites because they intereast me so much.
