Movie Review: "The Prince and Me"..

I went and saw "The Prince and Me" this afternoon at my local theatre. As you can tell even though I'm a guy, I like these romantic chick flick type movies. lol

Julia Stiles {Paige Morgan} plays a young college girl who is just trying to make it through school because she is trying to get a degree in medicine, when suddenly she meets a guy who is the Prince of Denmark.{Luke Mably played the Prince}

Anyway.. the story begins in a local bar/restaurant type place where Paige runs into the Prince as the Prince has come to Wisconsin because he wanted to see what America was like. He asked her to take her top off and she ended up squirting him with a hose that had alcohol in it and called him a jerk too lol..

Anyway.. He {the Prince} then ends up enrolling in Indiana University {where Stiles is a student in the movie} and they become lab partners in chemistry yet he doesn't seem to want to cooperate. But 1 night when they are at work together {he also got a job where Paige works} they magically begin to become attracted to 1 another.

Passions start to fly when they are studying Shakespeare and they end up romantically involved.. UNTIL the cameras the Prince has following him catch Mably and Stiles kissing.

She then accuses him of being a liar because she was never told by him about his royal stature. After that she walks back to her dorm in the rain and the Prince returns to Denmark.

In the middle of a speech the next day Paige {Julia Stiles} starts to remember what the previous day was like and suddenly realizes what she lost when he returned home.

Her and her friends all donate money and she takes a trip to Denmark to find the Prince. Once there.. she is treated like royalty by many, and is even proposed to by the Prince.

But just a day or 2 {maybe longer} after accepting the proposal, she reconsiders and tells the Prince how she can't do it. The Prince and her hardly ever had any alone time once she arrived in Denmark. They had to always be doing public appearances.

Stiles then tells the Prince that she has to return home because she can't "do this anymore" {being a Queen and how she wanted to return home because she had a letter from John Hopkins Medical school sitting in her Indiana dorm room}.

Stiles then returns home and later graduates {from Indiana I'm assuming} where the Prince is back and he tells her how he will wait for her to graduate from medical school and become a doctor or whatever else she wants to do. But he also tells her that he'd like her back in Denmark.

With that.. the movies over lol.. If you haven't seen it.. I'm sorry I told you the whole story just about lol..

So no flash forward to the future showing them married? Just ends with a promise to wait for her to finish school? Where's the romance in that, lol?

LOL Jennifer.. That's right.. No flashes ahead to their marriage.. Maybe they'll make a 2nd one in a year or two I don't know lol
