A long line of thunderstorms were occurring from north-central
Alabama... westward and southwestward through central Mississippi,
northern Louisiana and off the Texas coast/over the extreme
western Gulf of Mexico.
Another area, attached to the above mentioned was across extreme
southern Texas.
A much smaller cluster was just south of the Arizona/New Mexico line.
(A few other small areas include eastern Virginia, eastern North Carolina and
individual strikes off the Carolina coast.)
