Continued Prayers Needed -
I also have posted this in the Greetings, etc. thread but I felt that I should also post this here for frequent visitors of off-topic.
I'm back from the hospital. He's (my father) at the ICU unit. They cannot do open-heart surgery b/c of the location of the lung cancer is too close to the heart. They've done the balloons to flatten out the blockages, and in which 3 of the 4 have been cleared up. The doctor ran the 1st test this afternoon and stopped right there, and said that he needed this done now.
In fact, every chest pain/arm pain - seizure/twitch he had, were indeed little heart attacks (he may have had as many as 10 in the last 3 - 4 days.)
I do not know yet if I'm going to work tomorrow or not. However, he's in good spirits and feeling alright ATT. He's alert and not in any pain right now. In fact, it's possible, my father may be released as early as tomorrow, but most likely, Sunday.
Please continue to pray for me and my father. I'm holding up as strong as I can under the circumstances.
For everyone that has already continued to pray (from the original thread), again thank you very much.

POURING ON THE PRAYERS BROTHER MIKE!!!
Heavenly Father, lay you healing hands on Mike's father and take his illness away!!! Guide the caregivers in all that they do and give them the necessary knowledge and tools to rid Mike's Dad of his illness. Lay your comforting hand on Mike and calm him and support him. Give Mike the strength to walk through this time of trial without withering or losing sight of your will. In the name of Christ the saviour we pray. Amen

Mike, rest assured, you and your father will be raised before the Father in prayer in this house tonight and through out these troubled times you are facing. I heard something on the christian radio station tonight, very profound if I say so myself, "When you ask God to get you out of this situation, also ask Him WHAT you can GET OUT of this situation!" Continue to be strong Mike, have FAITH Brother, just simply have faith!

Mike/Stormsfury: So sorry to read of your dad being in the hospital. I know almost exactly how you feel. My dad too was suddently hospitalized in 88 (we lost him a few months later, but for different reasons) so I know the worry and trauma something like this does to you. Your note broke my heart and brought back many memories. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers too.

My father will be moved into a room here this afternoon, and I will be going back to the hospital after that occurs. I needed, like HG said, in the other thread, to eat. So I'll tell you that I ate TWO Chick-FIL-A Sandwiches today.
He feels ok today ATT and doing better. It looks like that sometime tomorrow or tomorrow evening, he will be released from the hospital and home again. The official doctor's report indicated that my father had 1 to 3 mini-heart attacks. 3 of the 4 arteries to the heart have been cleared up. Again, unfortunatly, the 4th is too close to the lung cancer and cannot be worked on.
Thanks everyone, again. I'll be back soon.
