Since that day the 15th the area has dissipated as strong shear has taken it apart.Really it was a little blob of convection but never was getting any better organized. You have to register for free to see this full disk panoramic pic. :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow: :darrow:

Looks Like It Fell Apart. Sorry For The Alarm. This site is covering The South Atlantic Region.

Heading South

Following the recent Cyclone in the South Atlantic CycloMax has expanded to include this region in Tropical Cyclone coverage, with immediate effect. 'Catarina' was a rare occurence in the South Atlantic, and there remains some uncertainty as to the exact classification of the Cyclone. However, there have been previous systems that may well have been Tropical Cyclones. These include a possible Tropical Storm in January this year, and a previous Tropical Storm in April 1991. In future we will refer to any Tropical Cyclone development in the South Atlantic by the same definitions as those in the North Atlantic.
