Rain is what we need though. We are over 7.00" in a deficit for the year here in Central Alabama. It looks like an overnight MCC/MCS will give us some action later tonight thank goodness. I think CPC is going to end up being wrong with that severe weather threat. My area will get some I believe....models increasing wind fields and instability is wonderful. As long as we have enough deep layer shear and we don't have a lid on us, we should get going around here rather quickly late Friday/Saturday.
We got that much (+) last Thu-Sat. You can have this rain we are going to get tonight-Sat.

We we got exactly what I predicted last night. The MCS went across Central and South Alabama and produced a good bout of severe weather and heavy rainfall. Had some wind damage reports and a tornado reported hitting a courthouse actually. I love it when a forecast verifies. Shortwave along the LA Coastline this morning has prompted a FFW for East LA/Srn MS/AL and it looks to lift out into my area later in the afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 1.00"+ likely across the FFW area.
