Just curious, how many of you think that as soon as the bombs drop in Iraq, we will see the terrorists networks come out of the wood work and start an all out attack on the U.S.? I truly believe this, like I posted in the Pot Belly, we have 1000's of miles of unprotected boarder with Mexico that these terrorists can simply sneak across without detection.

Dennis,

I think it will happen - this is just the ticking bomb they need to inflict terroist activities on the USA - I think something will happen here on the homeland or aboard to any American.

I don't think so myself. There may be isolated incidents but I doubt a full scale effort. I do expect a flurry of FBI activity on groups that have been watched for the last year of so as a pre-emptive move. Attacks against US interests are probably more likely outside the US than here just because they are much easier to execute.

I agree... maybe isolated attacks, but I don't think there will be the all-out assault on the U.S. I hope I am correct!

Garrett,

I hope you are right. I know I keep a weary eye out for anything out of the ordinary and avoid large crowds.

I have Prepared

#8 Postby Aslkahuna » Mon Mar 17, 2003 3:32 pm

for such an eventuality as I have spare gas for the generator, batteries for my emergency lights, cooking gas for my camp stove, spare water and canned food in storage all of which can be put quickly in my van should I need to evacuate. As far as the Border is concerned, the terrorists crossed it long ago. As Jim Kolbe told the Undersecretary for Homeland Security this weekend, all a terrorist needs to do to enter this country is to break his ankle while jumping the fence. Then he will be sent to a local hospital and the BP will never check up on him or pick him up because they don't want to become liable for the medical costs.

I'm not one to get all the hype....sorry, but I've always been 'prepared' for anything as thats all I've ever known. If the war DOES start and there ARE some very few activities here on our soil, I would be hard pressed to hear about it enough to worry.

I kinda have a feeling that iwll happen as well. That may be a main reason why other countries are afraid to fight, but they aren't exactly saying it. I think its still good to get saddam out though.

I say it is a good possibility because they have nothing to lose. I also think the government is aware of this too and is doing more than we know as I speak to prevent it..

I will be VERY SURPRISED IF THERE AREN'T MULTIPLE ATTACKS ALL OVER THE US. Maybe not a all out assault, but I do believe there will be attacks against both civilian and miltary targets and of course National monument type places or headquarters.

Yes, there may be attacks, but if you notice, when the media talks about something extensively, nothing happens! Let's just pray this is the case again! I believe that they could very well be in the country planning attacks, but hopefully we catch a lot of them first!
