UN tells inspectors to leave Iraq

Now the UN has ordered the inspectors to get out of Iraq so that is the best signal that war is a matter of a couple of days.

On the morning news - our local station saying this week is the week and outline our war plan.

I think right now - it will be Tuesday or Thursday - but it will be this week.

Lets prayer for our troops and for low casualities and specially for our fellow poster Aaron from Wxchat.

Agree 100% Ticka let's pray for all the men and woman and for Aaron as war this week will begin and we hope for everything to be ok over there and to see them return soon to their familys.

Yesterday was the end of the diplomatic effort on the part of the US, Britian, Spain and Portugal. Now it's just a matter of allowing the non-combatants a chance to leave Iraq. If the UN refuses to pull the inspectors it could be real interesting.

Just saw a report on CNN that some military exercises in Kuwait were terminated early today and troops ordered back to their prep areas.

And also Marshall the UN workers in the border of Iraq/Kuwait haved been told to evacuate.

I just heard the inspectors are waiting for the "vote" today :roll:

before they go anywhere. Is the UN gonna block us by keeping the inspectors in Iraq????

Tell you what, if I were a UN inspector I'd be packing my bags and could care less what the UN would vote on.

That would be brinkmanship at the risk of the inspectors' lives. I doubt that will happen. Already most of the UN helicopters have left the area under a pretext of "lack of insurance". I'm sure that the reamining three are there for a rapid exit if required.

I dont...its just what I'm reading into. I cant be a bandwagon jumper like so many others here. I'm just speaking my mind based on whats being said in these conferences and higher people. Confirmation will be told tonight and we'll see who is more correct here.

Just because you may disagree please don't assume that those who do are "jumping on a bandwagon". That phrase implies lack of thought and reason. There is little doubt in my military mind that President Bush will carry out just what he has said. Unless Saddam decides to accept exile we are going to war. JMHO

I heard on MSNBC we will still invade Iraq even if saddam agrees to leave. We have to go in and make sure the WOMD are taken and the resistance is taken out!!!

That's entirely possible, We would want to make sure that the WMD are located and secured. If Saddam steps down I doubt that we would go in with all the fury that I think we will if he doesn't.

Well thats what I'm promoting here...a voice from the 'other' side of the table. Seems everyone here is pro-war. I'm not. I have my own variables which permits me into thinking there's more to be said about peace and conversations opposed to chemical attacks. Again, if I'm wrong, I'm not the only one thinking this, but possibly the only one here brave enough to say otherwise. And thats MHO
