While we wait on June 1st....
I checked the florida disaster site and noticed this past week was Florida's hurricane drill... They had a cat 5 headed for Florida and it made a double Fla landfall... They show all the NHC advisories and discussions... Just something to read for those of us who are bored and going through tropical withdrawals

Wow, that was cool. It was pretty realistic, too. Did the NHC provide the advisories, or did the site there do so? It would be believeable, aside from the name and when it was. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about hurricanes where I am. School is from September to June, and aside from Isabel last year, which was nothing compared to some of our stronger noreasters, we never get hurricanes. So I'm glad I don't have to worry.

This was a joint effort by the NHC, Florida EOC, FEMA, and other government entities.
This particular hurricane, Hurricane Zane, passed directly over Baker County with winds of 115knts, and gusts to 125knts. As most of you know, I live in Baker County. This is also a track of a storm from 1896 I beleive. It devastated this area.
I forgot to mention this during the last Barometer Bob Show, sorry.
