I'm tellin' ya, that was ONE AWESOME speech by President Bush, if anyone has any doubts about the justification of war with Iraq, that speech should have put ALL doubts to bed. My heart swelled with pride to see Bush step up to the plate like that, he told it like it is. Like I've said, I too hate to see our men and women put their lifes on the line but we HAVE to......like Bush said, if Saddam is allowed to continue to rule, 1 year, 5 years down the road who knows what sort of weapons he would produce to rain down terror on the whole world, like Barney Fife said "It's time to nip it in the bud!"

He Won't Give Up
But his choices are limited.
1. Give up (Too much ego)
2. Order an early strike against our troops (there would be no surprise)
3. Hold out 'til we go on the offensive (get blasted).
4. High Tail it to France/Germany/Russia (I wouldn't laugh about this).
What would you do under these circumstances??? If he could do #4 and they would take him, things could get real dicey. They're dicey enough with the Kurds in the north, and the Turks who want the border city. If the Turks take the North, we might take THEM to task. But one thing at a time. Sleep well folks, we don't have the biggest worry. But I have to admit, I feel bad for the kids in Iraq. I pray that Saddam doesn't smoke them to try and make us look like the butchers. We need to watch this activity and go in before 48 hours if we must. He's in the process of rounding up hundreds of Kurds. It could get ugly there. We need to hit hard and fast.

...And Not Look Back...
Dennis and friends. If President Bush has one thing that has been consistent...it is his resolve to do what he sees as right.
So tonight we begin the journey that has many uncertain steps. Still, wherever we go from here, however ugly or painful, we must never look back and second guess. Instead look forward. Reach for the vision. Offer some hope and possibilities.
I too am filled with pride, but am also full of humility. Uncertainty. Fear of the unknown.
And that is the weight on the President's shoulders. He carries a huge burden for sure.
But we can each carry a share of our own as well by being resolved to face the future he envisions.
