Amen to that! It just seems a little bit stuffy in here! I feel that some are letting more than opinions come out and that isn't what we are about! Let's all be the big men (and woman) and just drop it!

I don;t know why you expect to post views and for Chad, I or anyone that doesn't agree not to respond. We have never deleted a post just because we disagreed. This is an open forum for debate. We disagree and therefore debate :-)

I don't think anyone is attacking you personally at all. They are just disagreeing with you and making their points. I agree with them as well but that doesn't mean I'm picking on you. I just disagree with you on this....big time! :wink:

Marshall...please let it rest. You are just opening little 'defects' within the thread and keeping it going by quoting me. I never in all these threads accused, quoted or told someone off for what they said...look back and see where others have onto me. Just drop it please so I can move on. I dont care eiother way, but when my name is mentioned and then taking quotes to pick apart what I say isnt right. I dont do it to you or anyone else here...so I beg you to prove me wrong there.

Southern, it had a lot to do with chat too, I feel like there is more going on here than meets the eye. I am not trying to offend anyone, and I am sure you all know this, but it was asked to be dropped and I think you all should respect that! There is no reason for tempers to get flared! Ask others they saw it too. We always cant say you guys are always right either you know? I will continue to respond as long as I disagree, sorry if you don't like it. I have had many disagreements with Stephanie but also many agreements! LOL

As far as picking apart your words, I post exactly what you said and point out where I disagree. I won't drop an issue just because you don;t like the fact that I disagree. I try very hard not to take things out of context. Again as long as anyone takes a stand that I don;t agree with I will continue to post my point of view. I'm not in anyway trying to limit your views or the ability to post them. I also will not be a part of the silent majority. :-)

Secondly you say drop it two posts ago, then make a post 5 min later... so dont give me the bleeding heart oh please oh please drop it stuff... you are dragging it on..

You guys have got to be kidding me! Can't you see that you made Rob feel like *bad with those comments! I would certainly hope if I wasn't feeling happy about something you would drop it for me! He never said anything that deserves this much attention! So I guess with these words I will be done with this, it is pathetic and at my young ago of 20 I see it as incredibly childish! Pretty sad that in a place where I feel so at home I should be afraid to speak my mind becuase I don't want to be bashed to bits and have every quote haunt me! You know, I don't even totally agree with what Rob was saying, I DO believe it is time for war and necessary, I just think this all went way beyond where he was trying to get at with what he said! And if you can't respect his request to just leave it alone then I don't want to read this! Guess I'll stick to weather and games! Good night everyone!

Don't insinuate that we picked on you in the chat room. You misquoted me and I take exception to that. I offer openly to post the log if you want me too.

For the record I said that your views on this issue were isolationist and I stand by that statement. I aslo said that those were the same views (isolationist) that allowed Hitler to come to power. Germany was supposed to only have defensive arms after WWI and yet was allowed to amass a mighty army. This was due to the Europeans and the US adopting an isolationist policy. Historians support that point of view. What I disagreed was your comments. You said I compared you to Hitler. Don't say I'm picking apart your comments. You made the statement...I disagreed.

Well just so you know, I'm not an isolationalist and dont like to be paralleled to Hitler just because he had characteristics showing this. Number one mistake on your part Marshall, and I dont take kindly to being labeled in front of other members in a chat room.

#2 Chad was laughing at everything you said in retaliation to whatever I said in my own defense. I really lost respect on those accounts and I'm not sure if an apology is in order.

Again, I'm just speaking my mind and never singling out anyone like you two have in the past few hours. It is unappreciated and I have respect for you enough not to do that. I served my country honorably in the last war in Iraq....dont you think I'd have a well enough say about present situations over there relating from my own experiences there???

Am I doing something wrong by preaching my own morals here? Seems like every time I said something it got thrown back by a few others. I agree to disagree as well, but here's the kicker: I never have anything to say once someone makes an initial thread unless they commented on me first.

Call it kids play, but I never instigated any of this...all I did was say I'm not for the war and that it may or may not happen anytime between now and whenever. My views are the same as yours are or anyone else's here.

There are no experts and no one should be shunted for saying a few examples form which they came. Believe me, I have alot to say about Iraq, and yes I was over there, but never did I use this as an excuse to overpower my stand on this current situation.

I love my country and continue to defend my and its glory. You need to take a deep breath, step back and see all of this for whats its really worth: comraderie. If we break those barriers of communication and friendship then we cannot behave within an environment like this positively.

I just hope you see where I'm coming from in all of this BS and will finally, please just let it lie. We need to focus on the big picture and not berate opinions expressed on here, no matter how insane they may be.

But dont say we bashed and or attacked him(still would like to know where that took part)... it was disagreeing.. thats what the world is about my friends.. and BTW.... look back.. Rob said drop it... then we made no posts.... then he posted again to add some more and then again said drop it.... If you disagree you post about it.. thats what debates are for... and that is all that was done here tonight.. disagreement.. no attacking.. so im not even going to pay that no mind...

We had a disagreement is all. Not the first and won't be the last I'm sure. When people feel strongly it's going to show. I don't feel Rob was attacked in any way. He may have felt ganged up on but his views were in the minority tonight. I'm sure at some other time things will be on the other foot :-)

Thank you Eric! I couldnt agree more! That is the only thing I have been trying to say this whole time! But then my feathers got fluffed, and my red-headed tempers flare! What can you expect?! LOL Cutting people down doesnt help, and some of the comments WERE cutting down! I dont have to point them out, I think if you look back far enough you'll find it yourself!
