Speaking of cravings, I've got this hankerin' for banana puddin' with LOTS and LOTS of 'nilla wafers then banana bread in the morning, slightly toasted with butter on it! Tonights menu, corned beef and cabbage of course, better break out the BEANO and not stand too close to the Pot Belly :o

Evening everyone... I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't find the Pot Belly Stove Thread, but it was right under my nose!

Hope everyone has a great night and while I am not headed off to dreamland just yet, I thought I would wish everyone a great evening and a terrific Tuesday anyways! :)

Rainy Days and Mondays...

#1126 Postby azskyman » Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:03 pm

Well, hello everyone. Green day many places, but mostly gray day here. 1.27" of rain in the last two days. Hail and lightning too. Quite a wild ride especially last night. Still, a much needed rain. Puts us over 6" for the year thus far..twice what we had in all of 2002!

Listening to soft and easy stuff while I type. At the moment it is Charlotte Church and Josh Groban singing The Prayer. Great song on the eve of war...and so reassuring in its soft and beautiful ways.

Be safe, each of you. All of you.

Not Nearly as Much Rain

#1127 Postby Aslkahuna » Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:13 pm

here, but we are getting some occasional snow here tonight with one more band to come through. Doing much better this time around than last year though we are still below the norm it's not nearly as drastic. A really nasty cold blustery day here-not what one thinks of when they hear "Southern Arizona".

Happy St. Pat's Day too - what's left of it. It's bloody cold here at 9:30pm - 48*. Heat on inside for the first time in a long time. As it's cooling off here, it's heating up somplace else... :Fade-color

Woke up to a searing pain in my eye and I can barely see. It could very well be propagated from last nights replies and so forth from these 'debates' since I was peeved and steamed over the severity of it all. As Bill said, its not healthy to have your blood pressure skyrocket....well mine did. While I kept my cool and only referred to whats at hand, apparently my body reacted differently and I paid the price. I have until the 28th to hang in there and have vision in one eye and serious pain in the other and there's nothing I can do but try to go on and fight and be a trooper. So if I see a little testy, say something and I'll keep quiet....just like last night after so much bickering ensued.

Today is a cooler day and only into the 50s with a backdoor cold front that is weak. Still flood potential since the snows are melting, but slowly, and the advent of rain comes Thursday and Friday. Lets hope this doesnt turn ugly.

I will be floating the boards, but as for war and anything related I will only answer if they are directed to me personally or if I am singled out to make a statement, otherwise I'm just catching up on older posts and seeing where all this truly is going to. I'm not waging a war even here as a heated debate, its not healthy for me and others and I wont tolerate my views being dismissed or thrown back at me. Just live with what we/you have and we all will see another day. The war goes on with or without us. Keep the Peace.

Jacki, Do you work outside or at a tourist type place? Just curious, cuz it sounds like rain is your best friend. :D Hope you get your delivery today. I'm proudly wearing my S2K sweat shirt as we speak. 8)

Rob and David, Take some good pain killers if you got 'em. Time to get comfortably numb ... "your mouse moves, but I can't read what you say...."

My daughter's home sick and upstairs in her bed, so I gave her a whistle to call if she needs me. That thing's going to disappear in the garbage disposal by noon!

Take care everyone!

Just stopped in to say hello. It has been very warm the past few days. It was nearly 60 degrees on Saturday, in the upper 60's both Sunday and Monday and in the mid-60's today. Spring has definitely sprung here in Spring Mount, PA! 8) And all the snow has finally melted from my yard.

With the U.S. on the brink of war, I just wanted to say to all of my wxbuddies that I truly believe we are headed for success against Saddam. May God be with all of those who are fighting against those that threaten our freedom!
