3 Missing Children

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Thu May 13, 2004 6:35 pm

Three Pascagoula siblings have been missing since Sunday. They are believed to have runaway. Local police here seem to think they may have jumped on a CSX train because they were last seen at HWY 90. and Chicot Rd. They will be featured on America's Most Wanted.
------------------------------------------------------------

Three siblings have been missing for three days. They were last seen Sunday evening, when their babysitter put them to bed in Pascagoula.

The father, Timothy Jones, says the custody dispute between him and the childrens' mother may be connected to the disappearance.

Police have talked to both parents and do not suspect foul play.

Sherry says mother's intuition tells her the children are alive, but unhappy.

She says the children had talked about running away, but never said where they might go.

If you have seen the Jones children, call your local police department.

Quick edit: The Mother has been questioned and it was determined she is not involved in their disappearance.

Wow. Maybe they're (the kids) fed up with the custody battle and are trying to make a point? I'll be praying for their quick and safe return.

Sad :(. Divorce just runs rampant nowadays. I wish people think about this before marrying. Oh well hoping for their safe return!

PASCAGOULA (AP) - Police are questioning the parents of three missing children and a babysitter in hopes of the finding the siblings.

Timothy Jones Sr. said Tuesday he had one request for his children: "Call me, let me know you're safe."

Timothy Carter Jones Jr., 13, Felisha Rose Jones, 11, and Sierra Monique Jones, 9, were reported missing Monday from the home of their babysitter, Anna Harris, said police.

There were no signs of forced entry at the home, officers said.

Jones said the children had run away from home before, but they were located several days later about a block away at a relative's home in Pascagoula.

Police Lt. Paul Leonard said investigators do not believe the case is related to custody issues.

Jones said Tuesday that he's had court battles with his ex-wife, Sherry Williams of Bay St. Louis. Court records show that Jones was awarded custody of the children in February and as recently as Friday, Jones and his former wife appeared in chancery court over payments.

The children's stepfather, Robert Williams, said Tuesday that he and his wife kept the children this past weekend. He said they returned the children to Jones on Sunday.

Leonard said the children's names have been placed on the National Information Center for Missing Children and their pictures are being featured on the Internet for the National Exploited and Missing Child Network.

From NCMEC.org:

Case Number: NCMC988254
Circumstances: Felisha, Sierra, and Timothy are siblings. They were last seen at their home on May 9, 2004 and may have left the Pascagoula, Mississippi area. Felisha has pierced ears and her nickname is Lisha. Sierra has pierced ears and a scar on her forehead above her right eye. Her nickname is Cee-Cee. Timothy has a scar on his right index finger and his left ear is pierced. His nickname is Timmy.

I tried to post the pics, but when I post them, they are much larger here than they are on the NCMEC poster.

It is always the little children who suffer in a divorce.

Thanks for the backup links and articles Duckie.

Still no sign of these kids. After talking with a Captain last night their thinking is that these kids hopped on a CSX train. They are tracing the trains stops.

They were found at their aunt's house, safe. She lives about 280 miles from their dad's house and when I heard him interviewed, he said he still didn't know how they got so far on their own. They were found late last night.

There is not even any mention of that around here even now. I am so glad those children were found safe.
