I know this is weather related and should have been put in another forum, this one seems to receive more traffic that's the reasoning for this being here

This is just a part of the AFD from Flagstaff NWS....I didn't know precipatation could get *out of hand* "LOL!" Whew, what a way to start the day, I needed a good laugh!

WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY EAST OF FLAGSTAFF. HAVE INCREASED POPS OVER
FAVORED AREAS SUCH AS SHOW LOW AND GREER...AND HAVE DECREASED POPS
SOUTH OF THE RIM. AVN SOLUTIONS SHOW THIS SCENARIO WELL INTO
WEDNESDAY...WILL HAVE TO WATCH CLOSELY...PRECIPITATION MAY GET OUT
OF HAND IN PLACES BY THIS TIME TOMORROW.

See....that's what happens when you don't believe in corpral punishment, things tend to *walk all over you and get out of hand!*

LOL... The NWS likes to get creative in its discussions occasionally, and believe me... they are not poets.

I believe "pops" are precipitation chances. -- I am positive it has something to do with precipitation, in any event.

Well, I can see why the precip could get out of hand, since the number of father figures (aka "pops") have been reduced.

Seriously though, pop = probability of precipitation (so pops means probabilities of precipitation).

Seems this system has a mind of it's own, it's OUTTA hand NOW.....I've got some new photos of the total white out conditions that I'm under STILL, I've been in total white out for over 2 hours. I'm a spotter for the NWS FLAG office, I called them about 1/2 hour ago to report this, the met's reply that I talked to was and I *qoute* "HOLY SMOKES, I'm looking at the radar as I'm talking to you, wonder why we haven't issued a winter storm warning, to say the least, a snow advisory?" I'll put together another album on webshots and post it, gimme a little while!
