Oh how it would have been nice to get some rain from this system. We can thank the pretty muched stalled out high pressure that is sitting over the Florida Panhandle for not giving us any rain and really really hot temperatures. :x

I am in Houston and it hasnt rained here in a while either... Hot, Humid and Hazy.. Thats the forecast and its not changing till possibly memorial day weekend.. I cant remember the last time it has rained here... And its hot too.. todays high is 91... I am already sick of this weather and ready for the winter again... yuck.. I hate southern summers! Bring on the rain!!!

What really bothers me about this dry pattern is not hurricanes but fires. Last extended drought that effected Florida resulted in numerous forest fires.....MGC

MGC, your thinking is along the same lines as mine. I would hate for a repeat of 1998. Parts of Flagler county still have not recovered from the 1998 fires... it was total devestation here.

Same here Amanzi. Our morning weather roundup said Melbourne, 66 degrees and Smoke :( Hope it doesn't get like '98 when we had to spend the month of June indoors so we could breathe!! Hope all is well with you! Start the raindance.......we need it bad here :roll: Cheers!!

We really need the rain up in NW Florida..the forests here are so dry..i wouldnt be surprised if a tree just happened to spark and a fire started. BONE DRY is all i can say. This summer is going to hot...and miserable..
