#1 Postby HUC » Sat May 29, 2004 6:29 pm

I'am searching data on the terrific hurricane who destroyed Barbados,St Lucia, and causing thousands of dead in the Carribean...
I got some info in the books of Tannehill"Hurricane history"And Glenn and Miller'Atlantic Hurricanes".
Apparently this storm was a strong catégory 5 hurricane(it's storm surge causing many death in Martinica Dominica ,and other islands, despite the fact that this hurricane passing at some distance SO of these territorries)
abajan,i know you are living in Barbados;can you obtain some data by your Meteorological center,or your university?
The past is important to known the present .Thank's to you and all of you that can obtain data over this phenomenal hurricane

Probably the most devastating hurricane of record up to this date. It is known as "The Great Hurricane". Passed over southwestern corner of Puerto Rico in a SE to NW direction.
