Tornado Still On Ground

#4 Postby Anonymous » Sun May 30, 2004 12:47 am

I'm still listening Pebbles and it sounds like they still have one on the ground in South Tulsa headed towards city of Jenks. Sounds kind of bad. Transformers popping.

I think so! I heard of a little damage at some business, but nothing major. Good news hopefully for the Tulsa peeps :)

Not a good situation last nite all over the midwest!!!

Was listening to the police scanner in Tulsa as it was moving in on the Southern and Western edges of the Tulsa Metro area. Scary to hear police officers reporting strong rotation and then here that they may be getting wrapped by the debris envelope mening they were awfully close to the tornado.

It was out of the same storm tha crossed Northern OKC.

Yeah I followed that cell for 9 hours yesterday..YES 9!!! Finally fell apart at about 3 am cst clear across the state. And spotters were still reporting tornadoes on the ground up till just the end. That one little cell did all them storm reports across the state.

Edit: by follow I mean via the internet LOL :) just wanted to clarify

That is some serious tracking, Christine! I followed the tornadoes from the internet here for a long time.
