You register to vote, just not required to register with a party of affiliation.

Garrett, you do have to register party affiliation if you are running for any office, and/or have to declare it at the polling place before voting in a primary election.

This may be by county...I know STL and St. Louis County do that, just as we do in Sikeston; your local/county rules may be different.

Bill, when voting in primaries they just ask us what party we want to vote in. I voted in the Dem. Presidential Primary but may vote in the Rep. primary in August. You can change from election to election.

CajunMama....you are a cheerleader here at Storm2k! Rah Rah, Storm Two Kaa, or is that Ray Ray, Storm Two Kay!

And...Garrett, you aren't an ONLY child are you?

Seems that no one got mine right, so I am a much better liar than I thought I could be!

Three more for me too...

1) I co-published a weather joke book with a weather friend from Alaska.
2) I have the original U.S. flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol building on one National Weather Observer's Day.
3) My wife was picked up in the vortex of an F4 tornado.
