(Yes they really did a rain dance and it worked back in July 2002!!)

Current Temp Here is 95 down from the high of 97 Winds are W at 17 gusting to 31...Hope people around here are being smart with fire. One bit of good news... and No I didnt just save a lot of money on my car insurance through geico lol.

It even includes Putnam County.. I wish that watch would go a little further south..

If we weren't in our typical dry spell right now.. I think the radar would be blinking like crazy right about now..

Central Florida's hot summers bring us a lot of our severe weather..

I checked the current and hour old temperatures from central Florida the last few days and there were reports of low to mid 90's, opposed to the mid and upper 90's. Heat index values have been in the mid to upper 90's to 100 degrees.

I just checked Daytona Beach International Airport and Orlando International Airport... at last report they were 98 and 97, respectively.

Chad (and John), I am looking forward to the 40% chance of rain when I return to "the area" very late Saturday night.

Temperatures are currently in the 60's here, across southeastern Massachusetts. Showers along a warm front are moving in for tonight, especially late developing into a more widespread heavier activity all day tomorrow with a developing low to my south.

Temperatures are expected to be 15 degrees below normal tomorrow... with highs in the mid 50's. :eek:

Looks like this evening is gonna be a non event in NE Fla---storms tried to develop in Jax as the line is approaching but moved quickly east to water the fishies...And the main line seems to have broken up as it has crossed into NE FLA. I notice the temp dropped from 97 to 81 in the past hour at the airport so apparently they did get a brief shower. Guess its just too dry for the storms to hold together both at the surface and in all layers

. 40% chance of storms tomorrow so maybe we'll get some drought relief then. No rain at my house today--and i look down the street and see dust flying on 30+mph winds from the dry west :eek:

BLAH! If its this hot right now 91f at 7:17pm in May, I think I may just run away in August-September. Today was a real stinker, and the rain I think is going to be a total non event for me :cry:

I am not sure what we got to offically today, but I was at a BBQ and there was an outside thermometer which was sitting on 100f. Please let tomorrow be cooler!!!!!!!!

We have made it up to 98 degrees on my side of town today and since cooled off to 96... We may hit 100 if the temp goes back up 1 more time
