African rains?

#1 Postby tropicstorm » Mon May 31, 2004 6:20 pm

I haven't yet looked into this year's west African rainy season. Does anyone know if the monsoons are / will be significant this year & the impact this might have on the Cape Verde season?

http://www.eumetsat.de/en/index.html?ar ... &d=700&e=0
When you access to thi site Eumetsat, you can go to the Historic browse images, and then you got all the view of AFRICA each day since 1990.As the date of May 31,you can see that the activity is at the same level that today. That's means that the situation is not yet favorable for waves to come into the Atlantic with sufficient conditions, for developping In other words, this year appears to be rather similar than the others, including 1995.
Wait and see in the end of July..........
