BREAKING NEWS: CIA Director George Tenet is resigning

#1 Postby Brent » Thu Jun 03, 2004 9:36 am

President Bush says he turned in his letter of resignation this morning for "personal" reasons. He will serve until Mid July when the Deputy Director will become Acting Director.

Considering all the pressure, I was expecting this move; my concern is that the deputy director will take his place (another "team player"?).

IMHO, the CIA neds a thorough sweeping-out...and I'd want both Mansoor Ijaz and Michelle Malkin to take the top spots ASAP. :D

Helen...I've been thinking that very same thought in regards to Guliani...

The added plus to this is...2008..we are going to need somebody, and it can't be Cheney

I'd love to see Giulani on the ticket with Bush. He will be a BIG boost for Bush, which is what he needs.

Plus, at least if something happens to Bush, Cheney won't become President!

I think that Cheney is a liability to Bush. I don't trust the man and I would rather see Guiliani myself.

I don't have a problem trusting Cheney, but like j said, we're gonna need somebody in 2008 and it can't be Cheney. I think Guiliani would be a great asset, plus he's very likeable. They'd make a nice ticket. ;)

I live for a Giuliani/Clinton race in 2008! That would totally rock. They are both from the same state.

It's funny how Hillary ended up a senator for NY instead of AR!

than when Robert Kennedy became a Senator from NY instead of MA. NY Laws pretty much allow carbetbagging.

Giuliani is too politically saavy to associate himself with the Bush admin.

Why would Giuliani want to try to rescue a sinking ship?

What does he have to gain by it?

PLENTY!!! More National exposure than he already has that would firmly put him in a position to move into Cheney's current postion on the ticket. He has been out of the limelight for a while.

Your post is based on your opinion of him as opposed to what does he actually have to gain from it. :D
