TORNDAO WARNING FOR WAYNE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

#1 Postby FWBHurricane » Fri Jun 04, 2004 11:03 am

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
northern Wayne County in central North Carolina

* until 1230 PM EDT

* at 1143 am EDT... the public reported a tornado near
Princeton... moving northeast at 15 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
Nahunta...
Watson Crossroads...
Fremont...

The safest place to be during a tornado is on the lowest floor of the
building in an interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use
blankets or pillows to cover your body and always stay away from
windows. Stay away from windows and exterior walls as flying debris
generated by tornadic winds can be deadly.

Report severe weather to the nearest law enforcement agency and ask
them to relay your report to the National Weather Service forecast
office in Raleigh.
