SEVERE WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL
520 PM EDT FRI JUN 4 2004

...A TORNADO WARNING CONTINUES FOR EASTERN OSCEOLA AND CENTRAL
BREVARD COUNTY UNTIL 545 PM EDT...

AT 518 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO ALONG THE OSCEOLA
AND BREVARD COUNTY LINE 10 MILES NORTH OF DEER PARK....MOVING EAST AT
15 MPH INTO WEST CENTRAL BREVARD COUNTY SOUTH OF LAKE POINSETT.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS ON THE LOWEST FLOOR NEAR
THE CENTER OF THE HOUSE IN A CLOSET OR SMALL ROOM. USE BLANKETS OR
PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

STAY TUNED TO LOCAL MEDIA OUTLETS OR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE
LATEST SEVERE WEATHER INFORMATION.

Okay, dude...turn OFF the computer, grab your NOAA weather radio and a bottle of water, lower the volume on the TV, and head towards your safest room.

NOW!

If anything, I wouldn't be hovering on the computer during this type of thing. Even if you're not hit, it's not fun to have to buy a new computer and lose all your previous data because you had it on during a storm and lightning struck.

Seriously, be safe! :) I hope you read this AFTER it all passes because you got smart and aren't online right now.

Kristi.. thank you.. :)

An update.. There was apparently no tornado.. Just an appearance of 1 on the radar. No reports of funnel clouds or tornado touchdowns were reported.

There does appear to be minor damage in my area as some of the local apt. complexes here have scattered tree limbs on there grounds...

It also looks like we survived another afternoon of summer weather here because I believe most of the rain is gone...
