Help COULD be on the way :)

It looks like I may have some help on the way regarding my potentially developing situation.

1 of the members in my congregation gave me the numbers I could use to try to acquire disability benefits. {since I do have a shunt and I have been battling depression as of late}

I talked to my pastor and told him my situation. He told me to call or go see him either tomorrow or Tuesday. He told me about a place called "Community Action" that is actually sponsored by my church here. They help pay rents or utilities for struggling people.

He also asked me what day my Mom's potential last check comes in. {she may get 1 more before the rehab center starts taking away her $}.. He only asked that because he wanted to know how much time he had regarding helping me find a job and or a member of the congregation that I can possibly live with till I get on my feet and can move off on my own.

July 1st would be when my rent is due.. so if Community Action pays it.. that would mean I'd have till August 1st to either pay another months' rent or even leave. {I even told my pastor that I don't want to live where I'm at anymore so I think he's going to try really hard to find a congregation member to take me in for a while.}

The last thing he said {and I pray he means it..} is "we won't let that happen".. regarding the possibility of me being on the street.

I do feel pretty good right now.. I hope this all works out..

Thank you Eric.. and I already have another update.. I went and saw my pastor about a 1/2 hour ago..

We talked for a few minutes.. He's going to talk to the "Community Action" people today and call me back when he has an appointment date set. {or talk to me Wednesday night.. whichever comes 1st lol}

He also once again told me he'd talk around the congregation about finding me a job, and or a place to stay should I be threatened with having to leave here..

So things do appear to be looking up. I will continue to keep my back up plans on standby just in case, I will also ask my landlord sometime this week about maybe if she could potentially hire me here at the complex. {I just have to get the guts to do so because I'm afraid she'll think I'm wierd for asking lol}
