It is a big help considering the rainfall deficit we have been running. Didn't get anything here at Jacksonville this afternoon, as the sea-breeze really rushed inland quickly this afternoon thanks to the Southeast flow below 500mb, keeping coastal counties like Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Flagler, and Volusia, pretty much out of the loop, except for some spotty activity. Rainfall amounts were light though.
Most of the Rain fell west of a line from Statesboro, GA, to Gainesville.

Welcome to the board elw!
Woohoo,, the SE flow finally pushed the storms towards my coast and thus we got some rain along the coastline. We have a couple more days before it switches back to the S-SW and will in turn be giving the other coastline a better chance of some rain.
Wow that rain dance worked well for you Rainband!! Drink Up!!

Thank you both, Amanzi, and Aquawind for the warm welcome.
The Atlantic Sea-breeze boundary was pretty active again this Afternoon. Also had Precipitable water values up to around 2.0 Inches over the area, so that helped alot too.
On the bright side, at least things aren't anywhere near as bad as they were a few weeks ago down here, with the deep-layer ridge keeping the airmass capped, and preventing thunderstorms from developing along the sea-breeze during the afternoon, like the normally do.
After all, this is the wet season. lol
