queston for the board

:eek: one question for you guys I am hearing alot about florida gettting the big ones what up with that? been tracking storms now for few years and this is the first that I have heard this many times were in for it i now every year people say the same thing i just find it eerie this round.

As we know Florida is the hot spot for hurricanes in the United States, every year if the possibility of a hurricane impact for the United States is 50%, the possibility of Florida is 60% or greater. Since Andrew, Florida has not receive a major hurricane and thats why every year people start to talk about more and more the big one. We don't know if another big one is going to strike Florida this year, or next year. Now, everytime Florida gets safe from a Hurricane Season, the treat for a big impact the next hurricane season increases. As I always say, "HOPE FOR THE BEST, & PREPARE FOR THE WORSE". Never do the opposite.

Statistically, Florida's chances are the same every year ... the overall longwave pattern is what dictates if Florida dodges the bullet or gets slammed several times in a year ...
