The Huge blob off the Carolina Coast is in association with the mid/upper disturbance that exited off the South Carolina coast in the overnight hours early this morning ... this is much like what we saw yesterday with the MCV off of the Mexican Coast yesterday, but look at WV imagery in motion and you see a 40-50 kt northerly jet sweeping down across South Carolina ... (aiding in quite a bit of upper level divergence)...
