Helen....if your so optimistic (and I know,I know..you said about the economy), why not be optimistic about Bush, just like I KNOW you had to have been about Reagan.

They both have chosen to roll the big dice, and if we're lucky and his crtitics (and it seems you are one) are wrong, 30-40 years from now when Bush is buried, the mourners will be reminded that even though no one thought he could actually put an end to terrorism, he did, and he was right.

Remember oh pessimistic one, that few believed the Cold War could possible end in our lifetime, however one of those was Ronald Reagan.

Bush, like Reagan, is the first to take a stand against something that has or had been going on for decades, and suggest that it could be concquered.

Why, in your right mind, would you want to take this man out of office??????????

a very simple reason. for bush to put an end to terrorism, he has to win a second term. i dont think yall get it. bush sank in the polls in a week when he wasnt clobbered by bad news. starting monday, the press is going to rip his guts out like you have never seen before.
a-he cant or wont talk about the economy, and i dont mean in ads. he needs to attack the media and get the news out, and i dont think he has it in him.
b-he needs to finally get ahead of the abuse story. he needs to say that terrorists are not covered by conventions. he needs to tell the american people he will protect them by any means necessary. put the media on the defensive.
c-JOBS!! it doesnt matter how many have been created. if the public thinks kerry is right, job creation is meaningless.
d-bush has to attack kerry, and he better start now.
e-yawn all you want, but bush is sinking, and starting monday the media is going in for the kill. politically speaking, of course.

Helen,

You ARE a Bush supporter, yes? Let me, then, ask you; are you doing anything PRO-active...manning phone banks, trying to get out the vote, volunteering in any positive way to see GW reelected?

I am...a few others here are...so why not turn your "fears" into ACTION?

If you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem, dear lady. Simple as that. OK?

Its gonna be a close race. Kerry may very well win. And if he does God help the USA. I dont agree with a lot of things Bush did, but he is a LOYAL AMERICAN...and thats what counts. I also do not like Cheney but thats another story....
