Is it possible Pensacola could see the worst of this possible future storm?TWC said it is going to move straight north...towards me  Or is it going to hit West of me...or is it too soon to tell anything.

I will say it is too soon to tell anything with the current forecast saying one thing, the overall look at the satellite not showing that clearly now and this in itself being a tropical disturbance.

I think you could see the worst of it, BUT, this is not going to be an Opal or anything like that. I don't even think it'll be a named storm. Probably just heavy rain and some wind.

Opal, im from Pensacola also. I would love to see more rain move in, other than these hit and miss showers we've experienced the last few days. More rain is the EXTENT of the weather i wish to see though. I"ll be tuned into the board and see what the experts have to say concerning this system in the coming days, thats for sure.

The worst wx should pass over or just east of your area. With the s/w trough approaching the area by Sunday, we will likely be dealing with a lopsided system, with most of the convection just east of the center. FL panhandle overall appears to be the most likely target.

You may be in for some nasty weather, but classified tropical system, no.

I also believe if it were to hit Pensacola.. it'd be mainly just rain and some occasional wind gusts.. nothing major

Over here just on the eastern side of Destin, right now all that you may see from this system is some heavy squalls with gale force gusts at worst. Certainly don't need to worry over anything much more.

Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Panama City and all of them deserve some rain. Its still like a drought is going on here. The chance for fires are always high. We need the rain but not the wind and lightning.
