I sorta agree... The "Atlantic basin" as covered by the NHC only covers the N Atl, Carribean Sea, and Gomex... But only because the south atlantic dont-or didnt get hurricanes... It is still one body of water-the atlantic ocean and not seperated by any landmass-so If anything developed down there, it would be closer to the atlantic basin than the Pacific and when the storm was ongoing, the NRL navy site did catagorize it as an Atlantic storm 01L (which kinda means TD#1 has been used and it went on to become an unnamed hurricane)---but of course it was the wrong time of year and wrong hemisphere-totally different "hurricane season" all together. Well then, what if the S Atlantic starts seeing storms every winter-err summer for them---who would cover it? NHC or JTWC and I assume they would get there own names? Of course-just a what if lol.

Bumping poll as I want the members to see how the poll is related to where we are in july. The majority already haved failed in their guesses as it looks like a late starter and a late season finisher.

Ok guys you have a second guess chance from today as nothing has formed yet and of course this poll is non- scientific about the dates. If you have voted already in the poll at an earlier timeframe you can have a second chance to say a date but about voting in the poll it is one chance only.
My second guess is august 11 my birthday date.
By the way Chris (wxman57) things are looking in your favor about activity starting in august as the days pass in july as it looks more and more like an august start.

Of course they would cover it, but including storms in the S. Atlantic in the N. Atlantic's numbers would be foolish.
