I am not one to over dramatize such things, however, this thing is looking better and I suspect we will see at least see Alex come out of it. Not that it would anything significant. Having said that, anything can and does happen in the gulf. Have been through a few of these hybrid, raggedy tropical storms in the gulf, I can only say that while they are not hurricanes, they can be formidible and bear watching. When I was in tallahassee Hanna and Allison both hit FAR away from tallahasse, and were tiny storms, yet the spiral rainbands spawned tornados and heavy rain that flooded me twice within a year. So suffice it say that I will watching it.
PS...I am between Biloxi, MS and Mobile, AL...in the fair city of Pascagoula.

Seems to be forming its first rainband on its southwestern side. We will have to wait in see!
