That's at 1200 ft. The sfc wind is varible at 5kt

Well, we kinda already knew that some kind of SFC reflection was down there, but as I suspected ... 6 mph doesn't make for a TD.

I will be interested to see what they find in the NE quadrant of the storm...perhaps another pass in an hour or so after they go around the center will show a stronger west wind at the surface.

Time will tell...visible satellite showing improvement in storm core.
