At 10:44 am Nataional Weather Service indicated That large swells form a tropical disturbance over the northern gulf has produced high surf along the Alabama and Northwest Florida coastline..Lifeguards report confused Sea States along area beaches as well. These conditions will continue through the evening hours as the tropical disturbance continues northward. A high risk of Rip currents will occur in tandem with the high surf conditions and tides will remain 1 to 2 feet above normal.
Minor flooding and beach erosion can be expected from Dauphin Island eastward to Destin.
Residents living along the affected coastal areas should take precautions to protect life and property by removing personal items from the beach area and keeping family members clear of the high water and waves.
