Yes, Topeka finally got hit. Didn't need it THIS bad, though.
Around 8:45, Topeka was issued in a Svr T-storm warning. I watched the sky north get black as the outflow boundry came. About 5 mins later, the sky north got RED. The wind picked up more. I heard this loud roar I had never heard before. I'd guess winds were around 80 MPH. So, the light rain starts to fall after the worse moves through. I look up the street and my neighbor shines his spotlight up the street, to find a tree branch, atleast 20' long, covering the road. I helped move that to the side. I was up all night, and got out around 5:30 this morning to look at more damage. (Power went out around 9:10, btw) Down the street, a power line had gotten knocked down. Another 20 foot branch down, half a tree spilt, more east on my street a whole tree uprooted, on a street 2 blks south 2 houses got damaged by a tree falling on them.
So, most all damage has been assesed and branches have been cut and picked up, and now we all have power, and we're all happy everyone is alive and no one is hurt!
Now i'm tired...
Have a good night!

Had the same thing in the north part of KC on Saturday. I was standing outside looking at the lightning storm, when a huge rush of wind just slammed against things. I had just gotten inside right before hand, but then the power went out. Seems a big tree couldn't take the gust and fell over, taking out an entire utility pole with it. Other than that, a bit of lightning (I've seen worse) and some horizontal rain. The hail was mainly pea sized and there was only a little bit of that.
