Don't panic
People living along the Gulf coast who are worried about this becoming a td or a ts,don't worry about it.Any chance for development is unlikely, and a ts is almost out of the question.Just be prepared for heavy rain, meaning just sit inside your house and watch tv
I do believe a td is still possible but a td is just wind of maybe 30mph,enough wind to blow off a few leaves of your tree,no big deal man.Just please stay off the beach,DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS.So put back the can food, flashlights and batteries in the closet, you are not going to need them today.

It what 14th of June? Geeez the season is only 14 days old and for sure we will be tracking plenty of storms and hurricane a few weeks from today so be patient.I know that many want to see storms in the atlantic right now but those will come eventually as the pattern changes slowly from the mid-latitud systems or troughiness to a more summerlike one that will favor tropical storm formations. We can be tracking 3 or 4 systems at the same time when the peak of the season is around by september.

And can we all please keep in mind, that even though some may love the "thrill of the hunt" for lack of a better phrase, these storms can be DEVASTATING to whoever is unlucky enough to be in their path? Excitement over someone else's possible misfortune seems a little inappropriate.

Panic?
While no panic is called for some of us still need to be concerned. As a resident of the New Orleans area I have to be concerned anytime a weather event occurs. Our streets flood with a good spring thunderstorm and people here get stuck places they would rather not have to weather the storm. I have spent many hours stuck at work or in backed up traffic waiting for the water to be pumped out.
I really have not noticed any panic on the board but yes there is some excitement--Not over someone else's misfortune but just because something is hapening. We can do nothing to stop a storm but we can be excited over the awesome power displayed.
Stay safe everyone and happy tracking!

Yea..it's a double edged sword. We as weather buffs really want to see some action, but not the damage and misfortune caused to those who feel it's full force.
Like I said before, whenever something is brewing, I watch, listen and learn. I also keep in mind those in it's path and keep them in my thoughts and prayers as well.
