Course E is with us, and furry, J... I know I am forgetting people.... gosh, for so long these folks were like family too. OH! sully!!!! thats IT!! Just came to me! lol * hangs head * How soon we forget....
Some hang on in thoughts that soon pass.....some linger in our hearts for a while....some move on and don't look back. Sure enjoyed those days tho, we went thru alot together, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms, snow storms....I can still remember folks coming in not being able to find loved ones after a weather event, and if nothing else they found comfort in our *home* for a while.....Later they would return to let us know their family was ok.... I can remember times when I didn't sleep for worrying about someone I didn't even know....
The kindness of strangers * happy sigh *

I remember he played baseball. He'd log on after a game and give us a play by play. Such a nice young man. Just like Coppertop is to us now.
Hey, remember Liz from TWC boards? I'm not sure she was ever in the chat room. Probably not old enough yet to be a part of the chat room days. I remember JohnAdmin getting wind that she wasn't quite 13 yet and she was banned. I think Azskyman heard from her from time to time. Hope she's doing well too.
T - weather_sam was posting on TWC boards back when we were all there. During the just saying hi threads. His brother was posting too. Probably still there if anyone has his email addy. You could politely point sam in this direction!!! He sure was a nice guy too. What I find amusing about sam is that he came off sounding so wise and experienced about horticulture. I just naturally assumed it was from years and years of personal gardening experience. I thought he was at least 60! Turns out he was turning 21. He posted he was now legal on TWC boards, and I said oh quit joking around sam.....joke was on me, he certainly wasn't a senior citizen. He was however very knowledgeable about horticulture, what he was taking in college. And there's my funny story about sam. LOL

Toalie is a member here but is very busy during the summer (scout for the Yankees I think). His new nic is 2SeamFastball, as you pointed out. But he'll always be Toalba to me!
Keirstein. I've asked her to join here a few times. So has Linda. I'll share her email addy with you Tracy, maybe you'll have better luck than I did. Look for that to come, via email today. And I really could have sworn she joined here under the name Breezystorms or just Breezy. Something like that. But that person had 0 posts last time I checked. I remember just_jake posted a topic here about a Christian website that he and his wife Keisha have started...other than that...he never has posted anywhere at the forums at Storm2K. Seems strange if you ask me...just advertise and then take off! If peeps just come to advertise their product so to say...seems they could have some class and join into the topics here as well.

Kitty lives down in Orlando after she met that guy from TWC chat, remember? She then set up a website and when you would log in the site would automatically send everyone in your address book an email to check out their site. Of course, she got a good tongue lashing from me and I have not talked to her since. LOL!! You know me T. heehee!

Okay, I remember meeting Cindy (Keirstein) for the first time and we had a huge fight! I forget now how it got started but I know Kitty was involved!! So the three of us were just going at it...anyway Cindy and I were going down a dead end road, so we both finally said "let's start again" "Nice to meet ya" lol.
Yeah, I remember Toal, Bubbles, SuperCell...oh hold the phone.... that was me! Before Cyclone. SuperCell lasted about an hour, then turned over to Cyclone.
Sunny, Toal, Bubbles, Kitty...there you go, there's a blast from the past!

Jr29, (Jeff) is still teaching at a private school in South FL and coaching the girls soccer team. We stay in touch though our emails get farther and farther apart.
Scott, seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. (GOOD.)
Alicat posts pretty frequently at TWC. (I never made the black list and still pop in there and say hello from time to time).
Sunny, I still have her on my buddylist but haven't IM'd her in ages!

I still have Boomer's email addy somewhere and last time I invited him here, he said no thank you. He's still bitter about how the whole chat room deal ended. If you'll recall, we were told it would still open, but not on a daily basis. I'm sure Tracy you know what Sunny ~had~ to tell everyone. That's what Boomer's talking about - I think he wished Sunny could have been honest from the start, the chat room is now officially closed. At the time he explained all of this to me in an email, I tried to gently urge him forward, let's put this behind us, join us at Storm2K kind of thinking, but he wouldn't go for it. Oh well, we win some, lose others.
Both Tracy and I emailed Keirstein yesterday - no reply yet from my end. But that doesn't mean much - heck, she could be out of town on vacation possibly! I'll let you all know if she contacts me.
Fur - I was always curious about how you all first met. So give me more history! I came in on the tail end I think. Even though I was a latecomer, everyone made me feel very welcome. I think that's what impressed me most - I could instantly tell you all knew eachother and went way back, but you would stop your banter to welcome someone new.
My best memories are of severe wx outbreaks, especially hurricanes. People would pop in to give the latest updates, best routes to take to get to safety, etc. On the flip side, when wx was dull, we'd get off onto to some very non-wx topics. Suddenly, we'd be posting current wx stats and forecasts, as soon as we saw Sunny come into chat. LOL I compared it to being in school - heads up, teach is here, better behave!

I had come in to see if anyone knew when it was gunna rain and Shan having too much of the stuff told me we could have hers.
We had ben under drought conditions for most of the summer... John was already there..he said hello and was very nice to the newcomer. He introduced me to Bonnie, I think she was in Virginia? She got a new job and wasn't there long..... It all just took off from there....They were very welcoming and we all got to be good friends. Usually wasn't a day that went by that we didn't talk, that first chance meeting made some really nice friendships...
We had a wonderful bunch of people...a friendly group....Always quick to help or try to make someones day a little better. Miss Mary is right..... Shan, me and E were the first Moderators....and we were *supposed* to keep the topic on weather... but, I was as bad as anyone when I would catch sunny not watching...me and fur even got in trouble once * giggles * You remember that furry?? I would take us on virtual trips, or get going on music or something else, anything but weather! lol Till we found out sunny could watch from the backdoor! DRAT!
Other friends came in the picture just a little bit later, in those first days of chat , there weren't many folks in...but it was a close knit group..wouldn't be unusual to see someone say love ya before they left the room....times change tho and people do too......sometimes folks grew apart just as quickly.
I still count the people I met there as some of the dearest friends I have ever had the honour of meeting..and I dunno where I would be without a certain few. We had some good times in that place... I still miss it to this day.....
Feel free to add what I have forgotten Shanny....tears here-lol ( gawd I am such a SAP!!arrrrgggh! I hate that!!) Just miss seeing my friends, being able to talk to them and know they are ok....thats why Graham's Just Saying Hi was such a wonderful topic...* smiles*
