WRITE IT ON THE BACK OF YOUR ENVELOPES

I THINK THIS A GREAT IDEA. I WILL START WRITING THIS ON FRONT OF ALL MY ENVELOPES. YOU SHOULD TOO.

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST,"
The law, they say, is being violated. It is something silly about electioneering posters (is God running for office)?

Anyway, I heard proposed on a radio station show, that we all write "IN GOD WE 'TRUST" on the back of all our mail. After all, that is our national motto, and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.

If you like this idea, please pass it on and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our envelopes sounds good to me.

It has been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having "In God We Trust"on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance.

Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to "sit down and shut up"?

It is something silly about electioneering posters (is God running for office)?
The reason is a USPS regulation prohibiting the "depositing or posting of handbills, flyers, pamphlets, signs, posters, placards, or other literature (except official postal and other governmental notices and announcements) in interior public areas on postal premises."
I am not sure how this statement on your envelopes is going to take back our nation.
As part of the 14% it is our responsibility to not "sit down and shut up".

What on earth is going on in America? Why are people trying so hard to remove God from everything?

If you're seen praying in public school, your're in big trouble...

They kicked a judge off of a supreme court over his refusal to remove a monument bearing the Ten Commandments...

The list goes on and on.

It seems to me that there's a misunderstanding of the difference between freedom of religion and freedom from religion.

What worries me is that we in the West Indies have a tendency to copy whatever happens in the U.S.A. Nothing wrong with that, so long as we only copy the good stuff!

I will definitely do it Bonnie! And trust me, I go through a book of stamps each week!

As a side note, Beer, what you said makes absolutely NO sense. If you don't like the motto "In God We Trust", good for you. But WE like it, so we're going to continue using it.

Perhaps you could tell me what makes no sense about my reply because I don't see anything confusing with what I typed. I also don't see where I said that I
don't like the motto "In God We Trust".
I don't care either way about the phrase.

Call me crazy ....but I'm a bit curious about what exactly this "movement" would accomplish, politically or spiritually... Is there any point at all other than to piss people off??? And if that is the only point, how Christian is it really???
