At least for Miami the wettest month usually is May but June very wet too, but I don't know what Mother Nature is thinking, maybe she is taking a vacation to Hawaii or something.

Mid June

#3 Postby HurricaneQueen » Tue Jun 15, 2004 11:52 am

In my experience of 30 plus years living in SW FL, fire season generally runs through mid June and ends when we start to get the daily afternoon rain showers (at least here on the West Coast). Sure we have some teasers in late May and early June, but it really starts in earnest about now. Sure enough, right on target, we finally got a couple of good soakers the last few days.

So, although we have all been complaining about the lack of rain this year, it really isn't too different from any other year in our area.

Unfortunately, in another month some will be wishing the much needed rain away. Of course we need as much rain as the acquifers can handle for use throughout the dry seasons. So....bring on the rain!

The wet season across central Florida is the last week of May, (more so June 1st) to the middle of October.
I would figure southern Florida/the Miami area would be the same.
