john kerry proposes keeping schools open till 6:15 pm

it will be a big vote getter as people will love having their kids looked after for free by the taxpayer. meanwhile, kerrys liberal teachers unions will have control of the kids for 3 more hours a day. the liberal agenda marches on.

Shyeah, right! I haven't read about that, but if it's true, does he think kids who are bussed, like I was in 2nd grade, will want to get up earlier to get to school on time and want to stay out that much later? I had to take one bus to leave the school to which I was bussed to get to my home school. Then another bus to get from that school to my home. No parent of a first, second, third, or fourth grader (or maybe even older) in their right mind is going to want their children to come home after dark with sexual predators and freaks running around at those times.

dont count on that. people are going to love having thier kids looked after at the taxpayers expense. the teachers unions get more members and they can indoctrinate kids for 3 more hours with anti-christian secularism. if kerry has a dem congress, this nation, as we know it now, is gone

He wouldn't have the authority to change that. Besides, wouldn't states and counties/districts be able to fight it at a local level?

It'd have to get through Congress first and don't forget who's in the majority there.

Relax, wouldja! Sheesh! You're such a defeatist at times.

So would you rather they teach that it was a war against the infidels? Perhaps that god will be coming to punish those who don't worship at the altar of Bush?

Funny, I promised myself I wouldn't hop back into the OT board.. but attacking Schools?!?? Attacking teachers- some of the hardest working and most unappreciated workers? Come on. They're not secular devils who are out to tourture the christian out of all of thier students.

Oh and last time I checked- school districts have control of start and end times for schools.

It's not a conspiracy...

republicans will roll over, and they will lose congress with a kerry win. i am ashamed of bush right now. where is the fight in him? he isnt going to win with ads. kerry is getting 2 billion dolloars worth of media free. he has to talk to the people and rip into the media.

Wont happen. Parents wont put up with it and Kerry would have too many obstacles to overcome to achieve this. And Helen u are right..if Bush doesnt get his act together soon he will be moving out of the White House in January.
