Madonna is one of my favorite entertainers because she's not afraid to push the envelope and keep reinventing herself. It's why she's been so popular for over 20 years. But the name change...it's kind of odd. I don't think I'd ever get used to calling her Esther...

"Guess what? I got tickets to see Esther tonight!"

"Wanna come over and listen to my new Esther album?"

"Wow! Did you see that Esther video on MTV? Talk about racy!"

"Tonight on Dateline NBC, Esther talks about her marriage, her kids, and how great it is to be the namesake of the aunt on 'Sandford & Son.' "

Too weird....

I enjoy those Sanford and Son syndicated shows on TV Land! :)

I like Madonna... As a child of the eighties, I cant understand why these famous people change their name... You know, she could have picked a "prettier" name and Esther...

I have never liked her, but anyone who compares President Bush to Sadam Hussein -------------well she's a sleeze bucket and not too smart of a sleeze bucket.

WOOOHOOOO! You "GO" girl! I too, never liked her....her sexual permissiveness, her lack of respect for women in general, has put her on my list of "Don't think I'll be buying her CD'S anytime soon!"

Never liked her anyway, and the change doesn't do anything to change that.

I like Madonna. As a former night club DJ, i started before she came out in 1981. I got to see her concert in 1991 when the song Vogue came out. I understand that Esther is her mothers name. And maybe she was an Esther Williams fan.

This is the same piece of trash that made a vidoe that displayed her throwing a gernade in the lap of the President of the united States.. LOSER

I'm sorry to all the Madonna fans, and I too like some of her 80's music, but she, or "Esther," has just got to go.
