I did some checking and found out that 2nd Lt. Therrel Childers, who was killed in the recent car bombing in Northern Iraq, is not from Harrison, MS. He is from Harrison County, MS. I believe from the town of Saucier, MS right near Biloxi, MS. He graduated with honors from Harrison Central High School. His parents now live in Wyoming.


Just thought you would want this information.

Thanks for the post sunny! I had no idea about the soldier from Mississippi being killed. Here is what I found...He didn't die in the car bombing. He died trying to put out an oil fire and was shot in the stomach.

Being from New Orleans, he is just to the E. of me. My little "hero" neighbor. So sad, and so sorry for the families.
