Scary moment at church tonight

A scary moment happened at church tonight and it happened not even an hour ago... probably around 7:30pm eastern.

A potent thunderstorm rolled through {believe it or not no warning was issued} and a lightning strike hit very close to the church building.

Seconds later.. the power went out. On my way home... I took a peak at a tree on church property.. It looked like it had a burn mark down by it's base.. I think it got hit by lightning..

The storm itself I believe is gone.. But there is still VERY loud thunder and multiple cloud to ground lightning strikes..

Everyone at church was OK.. Just a little puzzled about the brief outage

Wow.... I hate lightning. If there is one thing I can't sleep through, it is lightning, simply because how unpredictable it can be. Luckily everyone is OK.

Yes everyone was OK.. That tree looks like it took a beating though lol
