One thing to note since it is quiet...
the ocean waters are getting plenty of sunshine and therefore plenty of time to warm up for the rest of the season!

Yep...just about the entire Atlantic basin...save the little section near the equator south of the Cape Verdes...is significantly warmer than the average for this time of year:
