Church Denomination

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sun Mar 23, 2003 10:30 am

Just curious, what church do you attend if any at all? Mine, I was raised Southern Baptist, still am, although the little church I attend now is more pentacostal, so we call ourselfs *baptacostals* :D . My wife Michelle was Mormon until we met, she's now S.B.

Catholic here, born and raised. Catholic schools all the way up to 2 years of college at a Catholic College! Hubby too, except college years. Fast forward to now, and we decided to send our girls to our area's excellent public school system (and haven't regretted that decision, not once). They attend religion classes at our local Catholic Church. Got all that? :) I liked the schools I attended, I just didn't want my girls to have that rigid, one sided view of the world. And it's worked. They have friends from all religions, something I never had. I think they'll be better off. Our Pastor wouldn't agree with that opinion though. LOL

Still proud to be Catholic but the past few years it's been difficult to feel that way at times.

Guess that makes me a baptacostal as well...lol Dennis. I like that term.

I used to go to Assembley of God In SA. But I found a wonderfully lively Baptist church when I moved over here.

I was raised in a Baptist Church. (North American Baptist Conference) But, now attend a Bible church. Which is basically like a Baptist Church but don't require Baptism for membership. But, still encourange Baptism. Anyway, I prefer to call myself a Christian Believer! :D

Have developed a mixture of both Protestant and Catholic ideas. Basically, fundamentalist Christian that believes all forms of Christianity are acceptable and have attanded both Protestant and Catholic services and have enjoyed them.

As for my confirmation, confirmed Presbyterian and was a committee chairman for 3 years before going to Coral Gables

I do not come from a religious family. (Well, not immediate anyways, the grandparents are.) I decided as a child to take Lutheran confirmation classes, and I was baptized Lutheran, but lately I have been going to a nice Baptist church.
