BTW - I think that the taxpayers in Lincoln, NE should be outraged.

From the story you've told I can't disagree with you. It was definitely a political visit and not a homecoming, therefore the taxpayers should not foot the bill. And I am most definitely Republican and pro-Bush. But what is right is right and the taxpayers should not foot this bill.

I empathize completely. I post here and I live in Texas ...Im getting used to being the minority politically.... :P But its always nice to have company :oops: and the people here seem pretty easygoing regardless of political affiliation :wink:
