Restoring diplomatic ties is a far cry from trusting them. :-)

puts an Embassy there which will have a CIA presence to be sure-though I'm not sure how much THAT will help given the sorry state of our Intel
lately.

We have a bigger chance of getting betrayed by Saudi Arabia then Libya. It would be for the best to re-establish diplomatic ties with Libya. They may be sneaky but they are much better than Saudi Arabia..better than Egypt too. ( And we havnt had diplomatic ties with Libya in about 24 years. )
